Free Campus is an initiative to share knowledge in a collaborative way using free social media tools and free popular video talks to generate discussions. Visit https://freecampusdotorg.wordpress.com
Course resources are created as events or posts in our Facebook page and blog and linked to course sites. Enrollment is free and discussions, file exchange, and link exchange are open to anyone interested in the topic. Engagement occurs in different sections of courses and continues after a regular course is over.
Participation and collaboration in the topics are encouraged to add resources to the topics. No exams nor required assignments, Self-assessment is encouraged.
The model was tested during Fall 2014 using one course. It expanded to Blackboard based on level of interest, participation, and collaboration. TED, TEDx, TED Ed Lessons and Blackboard Community were added in 2016.

Student Leadership Experience
TEDxFSCJ Club was created to bring FSCJ students the opportunity to produce TEDx and TEDx Salon events. The president of the Club is the TEDxFSCJ Executive Producers and students have role in planning, marketing, identification, etc. Faculty and staff mentors are assigned to guide the students. The TEDxFSCJ Organizer is the mentor of the Executive Producer. The students create the events, the program, select the videos, and select and curated the speakers. Speech professors are the coaches of TEDxFSCJ speakers. The learning experience occurs in planning, organizing, leading, and controlling the TEDx events.
Thanks to @FlasStateCollege faculty and staff who attended “TED-Ed Learning Experience” yesterday and to those interested in using TED, TEDx, and TED-Ed in our classrooms. TEDxFSCJ has been in Blackboard Communities for a while. Join our TED-Ed learning community in @FlaStateCollege Blackboard. Participate in the discussion about ideas to use this Bb Community. A “TEDxFSCJ Adventures” group is also open in FB to share learning ideas.
