English & Virtuality UNAD Meta – English Immersion
Colombia wants the country to be bilingual in 2019. The Department of Meta and UNAD Colombia is realizing the English & Virtuality English Program to instruct more than 13,000 students in all their municipalities under the academic direction of UNAD Florida. UNAD Florida is a division of Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia (UNAD).
During January and February 2016 UNAD Florida is hosting an English Immersion Project in South Florida with the best seven students and three teachers. This immersion project includes daily intensive English classes, field trips to practice conversation to museums, local library, stores, local attractions, public speaking workshop, and a visit to Magic Kingdom in Central Florida. Students from Meta English & Virtuality Project in South Florida
Prof. Flor Lepervanche and students from Colombia explain the Meta English and Virtuality Program in Mira TV (In Spanish). She is Academic Director of this program with UNAD Florida. During two years UNAD Florida and the Government of the Meta Department in Colombia brought an especially designed English Program to more than 10,000 students. On January 2016 seven students and three teachers came to South Florida to participate in an English Immersion Program.
